2025 Soybean Planting Progress 5/8 Results

This week we polled FBN members about their soybean planting progress. With over 2,300 responses there are a few things that stand out. The first is the most obvious, and that is that where it's been raining, it's still raining! When you overlay this week's soybean map to last week's corn results, the general trend of who has planted and who hasn’t is almost identical and aligns with the wet spring many have been seeing.

Meanwhile it also sheds some light on some potential major progress this week when you compare to what the USDA reported on Monday with large increases in NE, IA, MN and the northern two thirds of IL.

We’d love to hear from you in the comments below. What progress were you able to make this week? Also, if you started with beans, are you still running? Or, are you switching to corn as soon as you get the chance?

Stay safe in the field and have a great weekend!

NOTE: Due to a glitch, we did not capture all the soybean producing states we wanted to in this week's poll. We will expand when we come back to soybeans in two weeks.
