Organic Fertilizer

I'm an organic wheat farmer located in South Central KS. I'm always on the lookout for different forms of organic fertilizers that are cost effective. As of now, our main source of nutrition is chicken litter (2-3 tons/ac) but I worry this can have adverse issues longterm by throwing my soil off balance.

If anyone here knows/sells better and cheaper alternatives that are organically certified I'd love to hear it.
