John Deere Vs Rogator

lookind at upgrading to a self propelled spray rig. How does a rogator SS 1074 compare to a John deere 4830. Does the rogator have 4x4 and suspension? Is a 4000hr rogator something to stay away from?

I have run the 20,30,40 series deeres all have air ride suspension under them just depending on the options it was either fill the airbags manually or auto ride. Sold 20 series with 6,000 hours on it only thing ever did was routine maintenance and a solution pump. Still have the 30 series has 5,800 hours on it put a solution pump in at 4,900 hours, 1 injector at 3,800 hours, had to do wheel seals on the wheel motors at 5,300 hours. 40 series only has 2,000 hours on it so far so good

I upgraded this year from a Rogator 1254 to a Deere 4830. Love the Deere system A LOT better! Much smoother ride and quieter cab. Had Ag Leader before and really liked it. The JD system takes a little getting used to but overall is better. Only miss a couple minor things from the Ag Leader

1074 have wheel motors instead of final drives. They like to leak and are very expensive when they grenade. I work for a Ag dealer and seen a few of them. Engines are good..looks the booms over good for cracks and bends. They are 4x4 and have leaf spring suspension. I’ve never been around a 4830 before so don’t know how they compare.

I blew the hydro up on my 1074 around the 4000 hour mark. Bought a 1100B and it’s been a problem child. I’ve demoed deeres and they ride smoother and I’ve heard of 4830s with 10000 hours on them
