I split an 80 acre field in 2019. 40 acres with Pivot Bio and 40 without. The differences I saw were quite unexpected. Greener, healthier stalks to the end of the season, larger more fibrous roots, longer fuller cobs, and the maturity of the treated size was about a week ahead of non-treated.

We had a lot of water standing after planting so a bunch of low areas didn't even emerge. I mean 'zero' emerged. It was June by the time it dried out so I didn't replant. At harvest, my trial side had around 2.5 acres of drown out holes and my non trial side had about 1 acre drown out holes. Pivot Bio test yielded 172. Non treated yielded 173.

Using those yields with the drown out acres removed, the Pivot Bio yielded approx. 6 bu better.

2020 I am testing Proven on 240 corn acres. I have side by side trails in 4 fields. I am already seeing the same differences as in 2019. 2021 will likely be 100%.

Here are a couple pictures form 2019. I have more pic's if you'd like to see more.

Does the 6bu increase more than cover the cost? I’m still waiting to hear back on what it’ll cost per acre to use. Pivot Bio just keeps putting me off on getting me a price, losing interest quickly.

If you can't find someone to help you in your area. Call me, I will do everything I can to answer your questions ************.

Verified FBN Member (NE)

Doing about 1000 acres in side by side. Will let you know. tissue test showed more nitrogen in pivot bio side. All comes down to yield for me and return on my money in the end.

Verified FBN Member (SD)

As far as cost, list price is $20/acre. New customers or orders of 240 or more, save $3/acre. Sign order contract before Dec. 31st, save $2/acre. Also 240 acres or more get deferred payment until Oct. 1st 2021. During growing season, provide planting and harvest maps get ad additional $2/ an acre back. You should be able to get Proven for $14 an acre.

The best deal is ordering 520 acres, you get the previously stated discounts plus a satisfaction guarantee. If Proven doesn't perform to your satisfaction, you get your money back.

Verified FBN Member (CO)

Thanks! $20/ac or even $13-14/ac after full discounts is still not something I’d gamble with beyond maybe a few test strips. I’ll kick it around some.

Verified FBN Member (SD)

You're welcome.

Minimum order is 40 acres, 1 box. Each box does 40 acres. Apply 12.8 oz/acre, in furrow.

Question...

How much synthetic N do you need to buy to get 25# of N into the plant?

Pivot Bio Proven is delivering 25# of N to your plant 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the entire season. It won't leach and it wont volatilize. Pivot Bio's objective is to reduce dependance on synthetic fertilizer. Reducing synthetic N, applying Proven and getting the same yield, or more. I am testing this on some of my farm this year.

I have plenty of guys trying 40 acres this year, nothing wrong with trying something small scale to see how it works on your farm.

Think on it, let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Verified FBN Member (IL)

Does it have to be in furrow or will 2x2x3 work?

Verified FBN Member (ND)

I did the test for them in ND on wheat. I seen no difference in yield on where we did the same fertilizer rates. what we did was use it as a seed treatment. Now where it shines was for one pass I turned my side dressed urea down by 100 pounds. all three tests yielded the same.

Verified FBN Member (MT)

Including protein? What was your base fertility like?

Verified FBN Member (NE)

I planted 1000acres with proveN in furrow this year on the seed. There were multiple side x side trials on several fields on both dryland and irrigated. The best yield bump I saw was 1bu/A. I saw no visual difference all year. I was very disappointed in the product.

Verified FBN Member (ND)

did you try cutting your fertilizer where you put the bio. that is where I saw the difference.

Verified FBN Member (NE)

I cut it back some on a few of the trials but after planting on the irrigated all my nitrogen goes on through a pivot so the whole field got the same rate on those applications. The people I talked to claimed you would see a bump whether you cut the fertilizer back or not. We also had the highest yielding irrigated that we have ever raised so I would have thought that would give it an opportunity to express itself.

Verified FBN Member (ND)

I never seen a yield bump. but I was able to cut my fertilizer and get the same yield. This was in a trial for piovit bio

Verified FBN Member (IL)

How much N did you cut?

Verified FBN Member (ND)

100 pounds of urea

Verified FBN Member (MT)

So basically a wash on costs, maybe a savings on logistics

Verified FBN Member (ND)

we put it on as a seed treatment in the trial. the trial was on spring wheat

Verified FBN Member (ND)

everything test the same protein test weight. I was putting 180 # on everything and the cut it back to 80 for that test strip.

Verified FBN Member (SD)

I have been trying it for three years. This last year I had pivot 40 (second generation, commercially available now for next year). I have seen NO yield difference on any of the years. The push from the salesman is a reduction on fertilizer. When we consider that people over-fertilize as a general rule, reducing the fertilizer does not indicate a benefit from the pivot products.

Sure it does. We have been putting less then the recommendation for years so I don't think we are over applying fertilizer. But even if we were the pivot bio broke down the nitrogen that was in the ground so that it could be used by the plant. Just like anything it has to have the rain but I wouldn't be afraid to try a field or two with using 100 pound less of urea.

Verified FBN Member (SD)

Did 520 acres in 2021 did not see on one acre where it worked I actually lost yield where I did use it, but will try again this year

Did you put less fertilizer on with the pivot bio or was your rate the same. we did 40 acres with it and 40 acres without it. no difference in yield. Where we saw the difference is where we put 100 pounds less of urea the yield was the same. So my point is the pivot bio breaks down the nitrogen that is in the soil and in the air and feeds the plant the whole growing cycle so you can get by with less nitrogen. Hope to try a whole field next year. will tell you how it does.

Verified FBN Member (SD)

The rate was the same on everything, and I used just water on the planter at planting time

Verified FBN Member (SD)

I watched 3 trials of Proven40 in my area this past summer. All reduced 35 units of N on the 40 acre trials, next to strips of regular full N program without Proven. At harvest, one trial was 2 bushel less on the treated the other 2 trials had the same yield. If I can replace synthetic N with a more efficient product and get the same yield, its a win for me.

I have no experience with pivot bio but I have been testing and using envita for 4 years and I’m very satisfied! You might want to check this product out . Never on any test did it not pay for the product with a average of all my tests over a 4 year period 12 bu. To the good . In some cases where the crop was troubled do to water or dry have seen as much as 36 bu. I have made the decision to use it on all corn acres for 22 ….seen good results in beans as well when you get the rain in August to fill pods wheat it’s a must in our area !

Verified FBN Member (OR)

I am a dealer for Envita and I know pivot bio is closest product out there to Envita other than Envita can be applied foliar and seed and correct me if I’m wrong pivot bio is through the roots only.

Envita runs 12.95 acre

1gal = 40 acres at 3.2oz acre

$518gal

can you send us your contact info we are trying to get a hold of a dealer or find out if there is a dealer near us and envita's website is less than user friendly

Used it last year in irrigated corn across 1000 acres (8 different fields). We are religious about split applying N and spoon feeding the crop. Out of 8 fields with test strips, 0 showed any yield increase at all. Maybe under different management practices it would help but it certainly does not in my situation. I would rather spend the money on a shot of nitrogen after tassel when I get to pick the amount and exact timing of the nitrogen delivery. Unfortunately we signed a contract to use it for 2 more years so we will give it a fair try again this year. However I will say the company stood behind the money back guarantee, and did not charge us for the product once we showed them the results from our fields.

did you try using less nitrogen in on a strip. That is what we saw in the trials we did. the strip were we cut back the urea by 100 pounds the yield was the same. That is where the savings comes in. we are doing a trial on barley this year.

Verified FBN Member (ID)

Why don’t you use a good humic/fulvic acid blend? It kicks the pants off anything else I have seen. I can get it with liquid nitrogen and micro macros in the blend also.
