2025 Soybean Planting Progress 5/22 Results

With nearly 2,500 member responses this week, soybean planting progress is sitting at roughly 74%. This represents an 8% increase from the USDA report issued this past Monday.

While no one state is showing 100% completion we continue to see large gains across the northern states including Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and the Dakotas. Illinois and Indiana have also made significant progress, but another round of rain and severe weather in the southern part of those states this week has continued to keep planters parked. All that said, progress as a whole appears to be well ahead of the 5-year average both nationally and in almost all of the 18 states surveyed.
