What gauge wheels for John Deere air seeders do you all like?

I tried the skinny John Deere mudsmith in different locations of the seeder and was not impressed. When I got into muddy conditions with our gumbo soil, they would push the rubber away from the disk and fill the inner rubber and rim up. I assume there isnt enough surface area that it allows it the rubber to slide. Tried skinny thinking less surface area, less wear, but would rather go to wide mudsmiths if I feel the urge to spend $150 per.
