What data does FBN receive from my Grain Buyer if I connect my accounts?

When you choose to connect the account you have with your Buyer(s) to FBN , that will add your operation’s legal details – such as enterprise name & mailing address – to FBN . Additionally, sales data will be added to your FBN account which may include the specific details included in your contracts, scale tickets & settlements with the Buyer. Depending on the specific buyer, the sales data sent to FBN will vary and may be only a year, up to 10 years.

Yes. If you would like to view the sales data through the FBN App, you’ll need to follow the steps in the article " How do I access my sales data in the FBN app? " to get started. FBN membership is free , and you are not obligated to buy anything from FBN or contribute any other data.

If your buyer is listed as a platform partner (see “ Is my grain buyer an FBN partner? ”), click on the link in that question to visit their specific connection page and follow the prompts. This is a special buyer account connection process, and is specific to the buyer listed, so please follow these three steps to connect the sales data from your buyer to the FBN app: Enter the mobile phone number your grain buyer uses to identify your account, and you’ll be sent a text message with a unique link. Note the process is different from the general member sign up process, so please make sure to use the link provided. Click the link in the text you received and install the FBN app. When you first open the app, you’ll see a page with your buyer’s business logo. Click “Connect with [your buyer’s name]” and that will initiate updating your FBN account to include your sales data.
How can I begin submitting offers to my buyer in the FBN app?

You’ll need to make sure your account is integrated with the Grain Buyer & that you have a FBN account first. If your buyer is listed as a platform partner (see “ Is my grain buyer a FBN partner? ”), tap/click on their name to start the process of connecting your customer account with your grain buyer with FBN . After clicking the link, add your mobile number and follow the prompts. This process is required to connect your two accounts, so please follow these three steps to successfully connect and have the ability to submit offers. Enter the mobile phone number your grain buyer uses to identify your account, and you’ll be sent a text message with a unique link. Note the process is different from the general member sign up process, so please make sure to use the link provided. Once your accounts are connected, you can click on the “Make an Offer” button on your buyer’s bids page in the FBN App or on their Gradable web page.
Can my Grain Buyer access the data I add to my FBN account?

No. FBN does not and will not share data you add to your account with third parties, including our buyer partners. Buyers can only see the offers you submit directly to their merchandising team.
