Understanding weather patterns is a vital activity for every farmer, which is why we've built robust field-level weather tracking tools drawing from over 40,000 weather stations, as well as NOAA and NASA data feeds.
FBN Weather Tools consist of two main features:
Soil Temperature & Weather Maps
Weather Tracking Charts
These features allow you to see vital weather information updated as often as hourly, as well as compare trends on 13 weather variables such as temperature, precipitation, wind speeds, soil temps, Growing Degree Units (GDUs), Evapotranspiration (ET) and soil moisture.
FBN Soil Temperature Maps allow you to view soil heat maps. You can zoom in to see temperatures for the soil around your farm, or zoom out to see soil temperatures for your region in anticipation of when your fields will be ready for planting, spraying or nitrogen application.
FBN Weather Maps allow you to view field specific information on air temperature and the inches of precipitation received over the last 24 hrs.
Maps are a great way to get timely snap shots on temperature and precipitation, but FBN Weather Tracking Charts can be even more informative for growers who want to monitor and analyze historical trends and weather patterns for their fields.
FBN Weather Tracking Charts allow farmers to track and monitor important weather variables, identify weather trends and patterns, and compare weather data across previous years. Users have full control over the time periods they wish to explore with the ability to select custom "start dates" and "end dates."
