Do starter fertilizers really work like alpines g22? We farm in Canada and seed wheat into some cold soils, sometimes 0 degree soils. We farm some very varying soils, anywhere from .5% organic matter up to 4%. We normally shoot for roughly a 185 bushel yield goal. Our agronomist likes high (in my opinion) populations. 36k is not uncommon, with a minimum around 32-33. We have dark, heavy clay soils and are in western MN. I'm wondering where others are located and what you're planting for similar yield goals?
