Canada Planting Poll Contest - Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS PROMOTION. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. THIS PROMOTION IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

Please read these rules before entering the 2022 Canada Planting Poll Contest (the “Contest”). You agree that, by submitting an entry, you will be  bound by these Official Rules and you acknowledge that you satisfy all Contest eligibility requirements. 

No purchase required. Contest begins on  March 31, 2022, 6 a.m. Central Time until 10 p.m Central Time on April 22nd, 2022. There are a total of 25 prizes available to be won, all of which are a $100USD Amazon Gift Card. Skill-testing question required. Open to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who are of age of majority in the province or territory of residence at time of entry. Eligibility. This Contest is open to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry, with the exception of employees of FBN Crop Marketing Canada, Inc. (“Sponsor”), and their spouses, domestic partners, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren (“immediate family members”), and Sponsor’s affiliates, advisors or advertising/promotion agencies (and their immediate family members) and all other companies associated with the Contest, and their respective agents, officers, and directors, and all individuals, including, but not limited to, consultants, independent contractors, so-called “temporary employees,” former employees and interns (and their immediate family members) who have, within the past six months, performed services for Sponsor are not eligible to enter or win the Contest.

How to Enter. You may enter the Contest from March 31, 2022, 6 a.m. Central Time until 10 p.m Central Time on April 22nd, 2022 (the “Contest Period”) by completing the Canada Planting Poll survey, entering your email address and correctly answering a skill-testing question. You must complete the registration process in its entirety, including providing a valid email address. No entries will be accepted after the entry deadlines. 

One (1) entry per person during the entire Contest. Entries may not be acknowledged. Incomplete surveys or invalid email addresses contained in the entry shall render the entry null and void.

Other Promotions. Sponsor may be running a similar Contest at the same time as this Contest. By entering this Contest, you will not be eligible to receive any prize awarded in any other Contest unless you enter each Contest separately.

PRIZES: Twenty-five (25) prizes will be awarded in this Promotion. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Registrants. The contest prizes will consist of:

One Amazon digital gift card, valued at $100USD per winner

All prizes are non-assignable and non-transferable, and are not redeemable, exchangeable or substitutable for cash. All taxes and other expenses associated with a prize (unless otherwise stated herein) are each winner’s sole responsibility. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Sponsor is not responsible for any lost shipment, or damage during shipment, prize quality, utility or otherwise. All prizes are awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT SPONSOR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).

WINNER SELECTION: Winners will be selected in a random contest on April 30th, 2022. Winners will be notified by email by April 31st. Sponsor or its designee will notify the potential winner by phone or email within 72 hours following the contest, and each potential winner will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, Publicity and Image Release. All selected winners are deemed potential winners pending verification of their eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. Limit one prize per person/household.

Odds of Winning. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest.

Skill-testing Question.  Entrants will be required, as a condition of winning a prize, to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, the Sponsor’s time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question in accordance with the instructions provided in the Canada Planting Poll survey.

Restrictions. Prizes are nonrefundable and nontransferable. The prizes may not be replaceable if lost, damaged or stolen. Sponsor is not required to (but may at its sole discretion) offer any substitutions, cash redemptions, or alternative to prizes awarded under this Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event a prize is unavailable. All prizes awarded are subject to the restrictions and limitations noted in these Official Rules, on the prizes and/or included with the prizes. Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. . The Sponsor is not a tax professional and will not provide tax advice. Any difference between the stated estimated value of a prize and its actual value will not be awarded. Winners agree to accept prize “as is.”

Ownership.  All ownership of any ideas or designs submitted or generated therefrom shall be the property of Sponsor.  If for any reason Sponsor’s ownership is not recognized, by entering the Contest you hereby grant a perpetual, royalty-free global license to the ideas and designs submitted and any derivatives or improvements thereof created by Sponsor.

Additional Terms. We may, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and in our sole discretion, change these rules or cancel the Contest at any time; or modify, terminate, or suspend the Contest should viruses, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes beyond our control corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the Contest or submission of entries. We are not responsible for: (a) lost, incomplete, or unintelligible entries or for inaccurate entry information, whether caused by you or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of entries; (b) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest; (c) any error in the operation or transmission, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, or for technical, network, telephone, computer, hardware or software, malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure to receive any entry information on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website; or (d) injury or damage to your or any other computer resulting from downloading any materials in connection with the Contest. We may, in our sole discretion, disqualify any individual found to be: tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or website; acting in violation of these rules; or acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person. If your entry is false, incomplete or if you use robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods, your entry will be void. Entries that are late, lost, stolen, illegible, contain false information, are damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled or incomplete, altered or otherwise irregular or that do not conform with or satisfy any or all of the conditions of the Contest Rules are void. The authorized subscriber of the e-mail account used to enter the Contest at the actual time of entry will be deemed to be the participant and must comply with these rules in the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same email account. The authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domains associated with the submitted e-mail addresses. No greater than the number of prizes stated in these Official Rules will be awarded. If any technical errors occur in the selection of any potential prize winner or if more prizes are claimed than the number of prizes being awarded as provided in these Official Rules, we may award the prize by random drawing from among all eligible claimants.

Law. The Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable Canadian federal, provincial, territorial, municipal and local laws. This Contest shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the province of Alberta, including all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Contest rules, rights and obligations between entrants and the Sponsor, and procedural provisions, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. Any dispute shall be adjudicated by the courts sitting in Alberta".

Rule Amendments. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to amend or modify these Contest Rules, or modify, cancel or suspend this Contest, without prior notice for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation in the event that any cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor corrupts, or threatens to corrupt, the security or proper administration of the Contest.

Miscellaneous. If you win a  prize, you may not transfer, assign, or redeem the prize for cash. Each winner agrees (for himself or herself and his or her heirs) that, by accepting the prize, we, along with our affiliates and agents, will have no liability, and will be held harmless by the winner for any liability, loss, injury, or damage to property or person, including death, and reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize or participation in the Contest, even if caused or contributed to by our negligence. You agree that our decisions related to the Contest and all drawings are final. Each winner agrees that, by participating in the Contest, we may use the winner’s name, image, or likeness in any manner and in any medium for our promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law, and we may be required to disclose the winner’s address to state regulatory authorities.

Privacy Policy. Any personal information supplied by any entrant to the Sponsor will be subject to the Sponsor’s privacy policy located at: https://www.fbn.com/privacy-policy
