Express® FP 5 VL5 has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy cattle against reproductive and respiratory disease due to infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) and bovine virus diarrhea types 1 and 2 (BVD1 & BVD2); against respiratory disease due to parainfluenza 3 (PI3) and bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV); against reproductive disease due to Campylobacter fetus var. venerealis; and against Leptospira canicola, L. grippotyphosa, L. hardjo, L. icterohaemorrhagiae, and L. pomona.
Directions and dosage: Mix the accompanying bottle of diluent. Rehydrate the vaccine by aseptically adding the diluent to the vaccine vial. Mix well and use immediately. Using aseptic technique, inject 2 mL subcutaneously or intramuscularly. For cows or heifers, vaccinate at or about 4 weeks prior to breeding. If using subcutaneous route, inject in front of the shoulder and midway of the neck, away from the suprascapular lymph node. If initial vaccination, repeat with any Express® vaccine containing C. fetus, Leptospira and BRSV MLV in 14 to 28 days.
