Legend (Hyaluronate Sodium) Injectable Solution, 2 mL

LEGEND Injectable Solution is used to treat joint dysfunction in the carpus or fetlock of horses caused by non-infectious synovitis associated with equine osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis can develop in horses of any age and discipline due to routine wear and tear, potentially leading to long-term mobility issues and early retirement. The active ingredient, hyaluronic acid (HA), helps reduce inflammation, improve the quality of synovial fluid, and decrease lameness. LEGEND is FDA-approved, sterile, and pyrogen-free, with proven efficacy whether administered intravenously (I.V.) or intra-articularly (I.A.).

LEGEND is available in multiple formulations: the 4 mL and Multi-Dose (20 mL) solutions are for intravenous injection only, while the 2 mL solution can be administered either intravenously or intra-articularly in the carpus or fetlock.

Intravenous treatment may be repeated at weekly intervals for up to three treatments. The safety of LEGEND has not been established in breeding stallions or in breeding, pregnant, or lactating mares. This product is not for human use and should be kept out of reach of children.
