Bovi-Shield GOLD® FP® 5 L5, 50 Dose

Bovi-Shield GOLD FP 5 L5 is for vaccination of healthy cows and heifers prior to breeding to prevent persistently infected calves caused by bovine virus diarrhea (BVD) virus Types 1 and 2 and protect against abortion caused by infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR, bovine herpesvirus Type 1) virus; respiratory disease caused by IBR, BVD Types 1 and 2, parainfluenza³ (PI3) and bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV); BVD Type 2 testicular infection; and leptospirosis caused by Leptospira canicola, L. grippotyphosa, L. hardjo, L. icterohaemorrhagiae, and L. pomona.

• General Directions: Vaccination of healthy cattle is recommended. Aseptically rehydrate the freeze-dried vaccine (Bovi-Shield GOLD FP 5) with the liquid bacterin provided (Leptoferm-5^®+A), mix well, and administer 2 mL intramuscularly. In accordance with Beef Quality Assurance guidelines, this product should be administered in the muscular region of the neck.

• Primary Vaccination: Administer a single 2-mL dose to all breeding cows at least 1 month prior to breeding or being added to the herd. For heifers or cows that haven't received this vaccine before they should receive two doses, four to six weeks apart, with the second dose at least 30 days prior to breedings.

• Revaccination: Annual revaccination with a single dose of Bovi-Shield GOLD FP 5 L5 is recommended. Good animal husbandry and herd health management practices should be employed.
