What is the data on high-cost planter technologies related to yield and ROI?

When I look at the stand from PP speed tube the seed spacing is phenomenal, I am just wondering if there is any true data saying that there is a benefit to "picket-fence" rows and if it differs from corn and beans? Also, what planter technology has given you the greatest ROI?

whats your price for corn, row spacing and population. at 32000 on 30s no, 38000 on 30s maybe. i updated 2 case 1200s to pp last year. old drivs needed replacing. i do have a lot more control and can do seed population trials in fields easily

Very good question. I also am wondering. PP seem to have the most extensive data on this. Is there other data available out there?
