Have you had success marketing non-GMO corn and what type of premium are you seeing for that?

Response From FBN's Grain Merchandising Team:

Yes, we have had success marketing non-GMO corn, but the premiums over GMO corn are geographically dependent. In some geographies there is no premium at all due to freight costs, but in others premiums can trade as high as 30 cents / bushel.

In addition to the potential premium for your grain, seed costs are also substantially lower for added benefit. We are seeing more and more end users of grain shift plants to Non GMO corn due to shifting consumer demands. Because of this, we believe there is a high likelihood that non-GMO markets remain strong in their vicinity.

Individual results will vary, but feel free to call our merchandising team on ************ if you would like to discuss opportunities.
