I see no reason to go away from a good hybrid as long as it keeps performing. It’s still good to try diff. Ones here in there but we keep using what works.
We have been planting a hybrid that’s 6 plus years old now and still had been a strong yielder. I have been asking myself this question as well. I think when a hybrid starts getting several years of age on it I think it’s best to start cutting back the acres and trying to find a corn similar to replace it, so that if it does fall out of bed on you it won’t be covering a large amount of acres
