Which tile manufacturer makes the best field tile?

I got a few tiling projects I would like to get done in the next few years, just curious to see which manufacturers people have had the best luck with? Some of the most common around here (SW MN) are ADS, Timewell, Prinsco and Franco.

This seems like a good question for ***** the Master Pipe Layer.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm not sure if he's a FBN member like the Millennial Farmer though.

Fratco pipe is mostly virgin and it's flexcore is the best of all manufacturers. It can be installed with plow or wheel, very efficient. Price is very competitive

Anything but Timewell. They have had some of worst quality control.

I’ve had nothing but good luck with Timewell especially when we are in SE Kansas and there is no close pipe. And Timewell is cheaper than the prinsco the last we checked on 3” perf.

Have used Hancor/ADS pipe for years and have been very happy with their product. We were able to tour one of their plants last year and didn't realize how much testing they do to ensure they are putting out a quality product.

We did use 2 loads of Timewell 4" once and won't use them again, the $.015 it saved us wasn't worth the headaches.

Springfield is the only one I know of that uses virgin resin. Basically, it's the only tile not made from recycled, inconsistent plastic that could make weak spots in the pipe. When I hear "quality tile" instead of "save money", Springfield and river valley are the names I hear.

Fratco makes virgin pipe too. What do you pay for Springfield tile? I’m interested

We use River Valley Pipe it is green has a better crush strength. We think the tap tees hold better also. We started with prinsco then switched to river valley.

X2 on the good rep.

We have used all Prinsco so far, mainly because we have a very good rep for our area. One of the neighbors has used quite a bit of ADS and says he has been very pleased with them as well.

I’ve put in several feet of Prinsco, and I have been very pleased. My neighbor borrowed a couple rolls of Prinsco to finish a job and gave me a couple rolls of ADS to replace it, it was coex and it was decent I thought.

Find a good rep and it’s all alright I think.

Springfield plastics is by far the best we have used

I agree that Springfield Plastics is by far the best. My tile man says the cheaper tile has larger slits and lets more dirt in the tile over time. Thus shortening the lifespan of the tile. My grandpa always says that it doesn’t cost much more to go first class!
