depends on the soil conditions. if really dry the depth bands pound the hard chunks into powder leaving the soil impossible to get goo seed to soil contact. when it gets dry like my soil is now, we run naked sharks to move the dry dirt out of the furrow. if it gets wet we might use fingers with depth bands I keep a set of 24 lefts and rights of naked sharks, sharks with depth bands and fingers with depth bands on the the service truck. and 15/16" ratchet wrenches for quick changes as necessary
