So I bought the ITcextend but have not gotten it to work yet, I believe the receiver still needs to be updated, all of the newer receivers had to be updated to run auto track as well
On another post on FBN, this was asked and ITCExtend was given as the aftermarket answer to keep them working. I don't know personally though.
Thanks, I did a little research a year or so ago about replacing the receiver hardware, I believe you need to update from L-5 to L-7 antennas, I was hoping ag express would offer an upgrade
There are 2 forums that have posts regarding this subject. Ag talk has one that has been going on for over a year and the 2nd one is on the "combine forum" which is its own site. The combine one goes into great detail and a guy talks about the process on whats got to change and get updated to make them work again for auto steer.

Which forum are you watching?
Talking to some people on other forums, if you haven't found a home for your old itc's; keep them. From what I have been hearing is a company in Wyoming or Utah is working on designing a retrofit to be able to get sf1 or sf2 to work again on these globes. Don't have much more info besides that as I'm trying to stay current on the subject on the other forum group.
ITC globes are out of date and will only document
My itc worked just fine all the way through 2020.
ITC year end will not have auto steer capabilities. Row guidance on the wasp communications signal. That signal has tolerance of 8 to 12 inches if I ain't mistaken. I've been converting a couple older units I have to the starfire 3000 as i have been finding good deals on facebook market place and such.
Whoever bought this must not have heard the news. Sold 3/17/2020
Got an ITC for sale if anybody wants it. CHEAP! Lol

Will do! Wouldn’t take much to pry ours out of our hands
Haha, I’ve one one and and old star fire I’d throw in to sweeten the deal if you find someone that is looking. Lol
Will a 3000 with sf1 work?

Alright thanks
Yes 3000 receiver will still work just fine with sf1 it is only not going to work with the itc receiver.
Yes this is true, I work as an IS manager for a Deere dealership. In 2020 the ITC receiver will no longer be able to receive sf1 corrections. If using the receiver for harvest to generate yield maps or spreading fertilizer with out autotrac it will still work fine using Waas corrections. Autotrac requires and sf1 signal or better so In this case the autotrac will no longer work. A new 6000 re...

Thanks! Local dealer isn’t positive about it working but figured I have nothing to lose by trying.
Yes it will still work for that just won’t be as accurate as it once was with Sf1 at 8 inch pass to pass now you will be closer to that 10-12 in pass to pass
I think so
So could you still use a itc receiver in a pickup or utv to go map field boundaries and do soil sampling?
That is also what I have been told. JD dealer said they are selling 6000 globes SF1 for 4000, but they are not compatible with the brown box, which 2 of my tractors have.

3000 will work with a brown box but 6000 will not. So this means the brown box days are numbered.
As far as I understand they will work.
They better, I have two tractors that use the brown box.

Will the 3000’s work with a brown box? I could upgrade one of my 3000 to 6000 and use the 3000 in place of my ITC on my tillage rig I guess. Or is my old brown box obsolete now?
That is what our local Cervus dealer in Olds AB is telling us, and also mentioned that all GPS and autosteer related equipment will be handled through parts, starting Jan 2020, so there will be no negotiating price like you somtimes could do with your sales rep
