What corn reels do you like best for down corn?

I can tell you from experience that you need to really look at what the yield potential really is on that corn. The amount of dirt that will go through that machine on two quarters will basically be like 10 seasons of wear. Did it even pollinate well. My experience was it only pollinated about 30 percent

If a drago is not an option (very expensive) directional harvesting and go as early as possible, it amazing what a corn head will pick up if u can get it to feed and not fall off the front. When u got down corn yes a drago would be ideal, but in real world, down corn is already pushing our ROI into the red, does spending more money on a crop that is already loosing you $ really the best business...

I would highly recommend looking into a drago corn head. Combined 2000 acres of down corn with one and no reel last year
