looking for the best SAFEST pesticide for sweet corn for human consumption 1st year doing sweet corn other than family garden never large quantities any suggestions appreciated

Look in to lambda, it’s cheap too
coons not really a problem lots of hunters around here keep them in check had some older guys tell me to use orthene but I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that

no sir pesticide here in east TN we have bugs and worms that love sweet corn some local guys who are older and more experienced than me suggested Orthene 97 which I already have but not sure I'm comfortable with that maybe not pesticide insecticide maybe better suited

Don’t forget about raccoons, i only ever have to worry about worms on the ears the coons don’t strip, I understand your plight, no great options for something you want to eat. Lambda cy is fairly acceptable as a safe chemical, I think you can buy it without a license, I have heard in sweet corn production you pretty much have to spray once a week once the cob becomes large enough to be attractive ...
you should not need pesticide. If you are suggesting herbicide, we use Harness.
