Has anyone tried to cut cereal rye prior to heading and let it dry and bale, rather than chop it or wrap it for bailage? Im going to bale about 50 acres and plant beans just wonder if all the feed value is lost if i let it dry.

We did alfalfa oat interseed and we let it head out but not fill and cut it and baled it and our cows loved it it also got the alfalfa going good
I've cut at pollination through doe stage differ times always test over 100 on rfv
