Does anyone have any info/comments on the YETTER TWISTER POLY SPIKE CLOSING WHEELS?

I have heard some good things about the Yetter poly closing wheels. Wondering if anyone has an experience with them and if they are worth the money?

Used them last year and they do a good job. It was wet here in the spring so they got a good test. Tried to order some replacement rings and was told they would not be available until May. A couple of the old ones were damaged and needed to be replaced . Sounds like their service is slow

I think they now make a cast steel version of the poly twister

Anything is better then running 2 rubber wheels but there really is no perfect closing wheel. I run SI closing wheels they are cast with spike but also have a side fin. Works well in wet and dry conditions. Reason we put them on was we traded planters and went all no till 2 years ago. I do like the yetter twisters I just feel these should last longer but just my opinion.

We just got some to run this year. I was in the same boat as you. We no till everything and I did some looking on becks on farm research studies and the getter twists were a pretty consistent gain across good and marginal conditions. Either way I like the idea of breaking up that sidewall after you plant. My only worry is that it might throw seed out in sandy soil so I guess I’ll have to see.
