I'm a PP dealer. We had 48 rows run dual knife and 24 rows run single knife this last spring. One dual knife system was on an Exactemerge 1775nt. Other was vdrive, DeltaForce, SpeedTube on a 1770nt. Both 24r30 machines. Single knife planter was vdrive, DF only.

Hardware itself stood up pretty well. It ran better at 1 to 1.5" deep rather than 2. (I. E. Took less downforce and therefore increased productivity as operators could run at speeds they paid for; 5mph+)
Had one split wheel break the outside off but they hit something in the field to cause that. Didn't break due to poor quality construction. Knives showed little to no wear at end of season and had no breaks to those or spring-loaded arms.

I haven't done kernel counts yet on the dual knife planters yet but the single knife setup grower showed me ears with 18 around and 42 long and said those counts were very easy to find throughout the field. Said he's never had ears longer than 34-36 before.

All 3 of them were applying at least 20gpa of product. Product mixes varied with their fertility programs but had high N ratios in them compared to  P and K.

All in all it worked really well. The spring was pretty stressful trying to get it all 72 rows put on as they didn't ship until April 1st and I found out it wasn't designed to work with yetter 2940 row cleaners on the 1775.  We made it work though. PP is working on a solution for the 2940s this year.  I would recommend them if applying liquid at planting is something you currently do or would like to do in your fertility program.
