I use Weather bug

Agrible gives daily updates by field and does a twice weekly (recorded very early Monday and Thursday mornings of an extensive weather forecast that utilizes the different weather prediction models (including the European model, which seems quite predictable). The also do a series of long range forecasts. This has been more accurate than the weather channel or TV. The weather channel has a good...

Is that the pocket rain gauge app powered by Agrible?

Dark skies and weather trend

Paying for weather trend for the first time this year it has been pretty close.

I have good luck with storm radar it’s usually good unless I cut hay

I'm spoiled living in Oklahoma. We have the Oklahoma Mesonet. Insane level of weather data that no commercial service can even come close to providing. For forecast, I find weather.gov to be the most useful for my needs.

***** is interesting in that it shows 4 major international weather models, which unfortunately seldom seem to agree. But, you can pick whichever you like best!

MyRadar is a good radar app. Use weather channel but it looks like I should try weather underground

Verified FBN Member (IA)

My Radar has been very accurate for me over the last few years, even when it will start raining its really close.

Weather underground!

Verified FBN Member (IL)

Weather underground. I like the 10 day forecast map. Gives me an idea of how much of the day will be rain and what parts.

Love Dark Sky, dislike Wunderground, even tho my weather station is connected to it. DarkSky moving to Apple, tho. Will replace with VentuSky or Windy.

Sadly it took me a month to notice it. I still use the hourly weather on NOAA as a 2nd source for wind.

Verified FBN Member (SD)

Ok Thanks! I guess I need to play around with the app more!

Verified FBN Member (CO)

It’s there already. Under the days forecast you will see “Temp”, “Feels Like”, etc. Scroll to the right on that line and they have wind and wind gust forecast.

Verified FBN Member (SD)

Hopefully Apple adds wind forecasts to Dark Sky soon. I like looking at them for spraying plans.

Storm Radar. Or whatever ones shows the most rain!

I’m looking for one showing not so much rain right now!

mobile.weather.gov

This is from National weather service that you can add to your phone and it acts like an app. The radar isn't the best but the forecast has been really good for my area.

Weather Underground was perfect before IBM bought and "updated" it. However it's still the only one I've found with smart forecast where you can set weather parameters and it'll show what days/times meet it. It's worked pretty well for planning, particularly spraying.

Also Myradar is good for storm tracking.

Are any of you guys in the Midwest that are using Weather Underground? Here in Wisconsin.

Verified FBN Member (SD)

I really like the weather channel app for radar, but I really liked the written summary forecasts from wunderground.

WeatherBug offers a free app, which I have found useful. I also use DTN since we have a weather station on one of our farms. However, there is a subscription fee associated with this service. Weather Underground is good, however you might also consider giving Weather Bug a try.

I also use Weather Bug. It's very simple and you can save location by simply marking your Farms on their map.
