I personally opt for cash back, and my main card gives 2% back on all purchases. I also have two special purpose cards: one gets me 5% cash back on fuel, and the other I get 5% cash back on Amazon. All my cards have $0 annual fees as well.

Capital one Spark 2%  cash back  or capital one Spark 2x miles ... does cost $95/year

I think there is a free version it's like 1.25% cash back or 1.25 miles...

Stay at a hotel you can get reimbursed with miles... decided to take a trip get reimbursed with miles...
I dont see alot of benefit to cash back unless you deposit that in a separate account to put towards something fun or help pay down a debt.

I have capital spark 2x miles for farm purchases
Then I have the capital one venture 2x miles for personal purchases

With spark card or venture card. You can add an additional user. So same line of credit. You both have your own card. 1 bill comes.

If you already have a capital one account and you want to upgrade it to spark or venture..  you will not qualify for the spend $3000 in 90 days and get like 50,000 miles bonus. Has to be a new account to get those new card bonuses.

That's probably gonna be the most widely accepted.

Depends what you want to use it for. Most air lines have a credit card... american express has some good cards

I really like my discover card. 1-5% back depending what I buy, and more than once they have notified on some fraudulent activity on my credit report. Every minor issue is a simple fix and gets done quickly
