Corn heads

Just updated combines to case ih 6130 was wondering at out what corn head everyone likes. We currently run a geringhoff but are considering a new case ih head what are your thoughts on them. We run a 6 row head so it’s hard to find used ones.

Drago is best. We have 2 series 1 heads and they still are better than any head. Great on down corn and automatic stripper plates are nice.

We have been running an older series 1 Drago 8 row and a 12 row Geringhoff. We are replacing the Geringhoff with a 16 row Drago GT. So many things I disliked about the Greinghoff. Love the automatic deck plates on the Drago. Looking forward to running the new one, just a little concerned about the weight.

I think everyone else is saying this but go Drago .I have always run case Ih heads the last good head was the 1000 series heads and all the rest has got problems. I went with a Drago and have been very happy with the head

Only run Deere heads up to this year (40+ years). Bought a Drago GT and wondered why I waited so long to get one. Can't comment on the Case heads but Deere's are notorious for stripper plate shelling. The Drago has the auto stripper plate (both up and down and side by side) that works extremely well. Only drawback is you need to blow each row off to keep the plates free of debris so they can move ...

We run Drago series 2. 8 row and a 12row, We get along really well with them. There simple to work on when needed. And the self adjusting deck plates are very nice.
