How do you decide who to buy seed from?

So many people selling seed. What is the criteria you look for when finally writing a check. Obviously varieties but what about when trying new varieties.

Know them? They do business with you? Elevator has dividends? You feel bad for them?

You got to make sure it's good varieties they are selling that are proven in your area. Take emotions out of it and another thing cheaper is not usually better, especially in corn varieties.

I talk with neighbors, check FBN seed finder & look at university extension trials close to my area. Comparing those three have shown what’s viable to actually yield out here vs what’s the cheapest or supposed best from a seed company.
