It doesn't work. Some of them have no expenses for machinery. In example parents pay repairs and machinery payments and help with fertilizer. Some it's about bragging rights. Some are renting cheap ground and using it to offset high rent. All it's doing is screwing things up for everyone else. It's getting too cut throat these days. In this area anyway....

It doesn’t these will be the same farmers crying for a bailout a year from now. Wish my dad was here to help navigate thru these times. If you are and older farmer you could make some serious money helping younger farmers with your knowledge.

It doesn't work very well in Nebraska unless you're growing seed corn... sorry to hear that. I'm in central NE (probably north of you) too and my rents aren't nearly that high thankfully
