Leaving crops for hunting (Lease)

I am working on a new lease. The Owners want to leave around 7 acres a year for hunting (100% my share). My share of the whole farm will be around 40 acres. They will pay for my share of the inputs and a certain amount on top of that for the standing crops. So we are missing out on all of the profit above input costs. Anybody else do anything like this? What would be a fair amount additional for both of us? I was thinking 20% above the inputs.

If I understand your situation, 7 acres is about 18% of the field so 20% above seems like a good number. An alternative might be to ask for inputs plus local custom rates for "farming" the 7 acres.
