Growing up on a grain and livestock farm in the rolling hills of Southern Illinois, I developed a passion for production agriculture early on. That foundation led me to the University of Illinois, where I earned a degree in Agricultural Industries before launching a career that has spanned over three decades in grain merchandising, market analysis and risk management. From grain merchandising with ADM and brokerage roles in Chicago with ADMIS and Packers Trading Company, then to farm marketing and advisory leadership at Brock and Cargill, I’ve worked across the industry to help producers navigate volatile markets. In between, I spent over a decade running my own Farm Marketing and CTA business, working with some of the pork industry’s top producers to develop tailored risk management strategies that focus on margin and profitability rather than getting emotionally attached to the market. Now, as a Senior Market Analyst with FBN, I’m here to bring practical insights, real-world strategies, and engaging content to help producers make informed decisions. Whether it’s grains, livestock, or broader market trends, I look forward to adding value to the FBN Community and sparking conversations that matter.
