Josh grew up on an 8th generation farm in Central Illinois and attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. After getting started in grain professionally as a merchandiser in the Western Corn Belt, Josh transitioned into brokerage in 2011, focusing on agricultural commodities; their fundamentals, technicals, and the macro financial picture that drives their price action. He focuses on guiding producers' risk management decisions through an evaluation of a farm's value at risk by crop and crop year, incorporating crop insurance, cash sales, and derivatives in the evaluation. Josh is based in FBN's Chicago office.
