In your lifetime, what technology have you implemented into your farming operation that has made the most significant impact (financial, stress, etc)?

I I noticed in your post it mentions stress. We had implemented two high-speed planters for our operation. One for corn one for soybeans. Both had all the technologies and all the advantages you could think of wish for or desire. Unfortunately when all this goes awry during planting season it becomes more stressful than it becomes helpful. Basically are planting season was a nightmare. Well the technicians can no longer diagnose or figure out problems it became impossible. The answers were software updates new software. But it would take the company 24 to 48 hours if us just sitting there before the software would arrive. Software was then downloaded but did not fix the problems. Finally on the last day of planting technician says I believe we need a completely new wiring harness. I said this wiring harness just got recalled and a brand new one was put on.  We decided to put a new wiring harness on it. Unfortunately there were none to be had. We now no longer own smart planters.

Yield mapping.  Especially to look at multiple years and compare the good areas to the bad areas, or to see test areas to regular practice areas.  
 And precision down force on the planter.
 The rest of tech can be thrown in the ditch, in my opinion.
