We have found we get same survival with our seedmaster drill as we did with our planter previously. We usually targeted 225,000-250,000 seed...

Seedmaster with canola meters, 5 live plants per sq ft, so can range depending on seed size (tsw). 2-3.5 lbs/ac.

Use a deere 1895 drill and go 3.5-4lbs an acre
Friend uses a drill... depends on variety but 4.5-5lbs an acre
