What are you using for liquid insecticide for in-furrow application on corn?

It depends on if you want to apply a granular or liquid product.  Many FBN Members have been pleased with the results of Bifenture LFC (liquid). It's the same active ingredient and same concentration as Capture LFR, which is bifenthrin.  The use rate is 6.8 to 17 fl oz/A for corn rootworm control, and our current FBN cost is $107.36/gal. If going corn on corn, I'd go with a higher rate. Iowa also has pretty high rootworm pressure in general so I'd probably be at the upper end of the use rate (12-17 fl oz/A).  So at 6.8 fl oz/A your cost would be $5.70/A, and at 17 fl oz/A your cost would be $14.26/A (with February pricing).  How does that compare with Force Granular?

Not all Bifenthrin formulations will work in liquid fertilizer and in-furrow so be careful of buying anything that isn't LFR or LFC (liquid fertilizer ready or liquid fertilizer compatible) or you will have a jelly mess in the tank and lines.
