Farmhand looking for jobs Illinois

Hi all,

I am looking for a farmhand position around central Illinois (Ford County, Livingston County, Tazewell county, McLean county, Champaign county, De Witt County, Logan county, Woodford county) on a row crop farm.

I have experience in dairy farming. But my relevant experience is managing a hay operation in northern Illinois for a couple years operating a 120c Farmall with a rotary discbine, tedder, rake, and baler implements.

I also had a summer internship with CNH industrial in the research and development department out of Goodfield IL and I was able to operate a Magnum 380, Steiger Quadtrac 620 and I’ve planted corn with a 2160 47-row planter.

I am a very hard worker. I am willing to put in 80 hours every week if need be as I have worked 60-80 hours per week at my previous farm job.

I am also currently working on getting my applicators license for Illinois. I am in university studying agribusiness crop production. I should have my applicators license by June 2024.

I am looking for a full time summer job for 2024 and seasonal work when I’m not in school, I graduate spring 2025. I don’t need hourly pay, I am willing to work in exchange for housing. I do need a mentor though and I am ready to learn as I did not grow up farming. The long term goal is to own my own ground someday.
