inject N and additional fertilizer rates

Question

Has anyone used inject N from FBN? It says to use 3oz to the acre but I’m trying to figure out how many pounds of N that makes available for the growing crops.

A couple questions that I think might be helpful.
 What crop are you planning to use it on?
 Is the crop irrigated? 
 If so, is it pivot, flood, drip tape? And is there in season nitrogen going in with irrigation water?
 
 I don't feel comfortable making a claim like "Inject N will replace (X) amount of nitrogen".
 
 Nitrogen fixing bacterias like Azospirillum brasilense have a been proven over decades to have the capacity to capture nitrogen form the atmosphere and feed it to a plant. HOWEVER, calculating how much "nitrogen credit" that your going to get from that inoculation is highly dependent on weather, soil types, water availability, etc.
 
 I feel very comfortable telling you that if you use a proven nitrogen fixing bacteria. That some of the nitrogen your plant utilizes will come from that bacterium. But if you are spoon feeding nitrogen and water to the crop all season. The result from a side by side test could likely be insignificant.
 BUT, if you are farming dryland corn and nutrients stop moving in your soil profile because it got to dry for a water soluble nutrient like nitrogen to move into the root. Even if it is in the soil. Than I have seen 15 bu/ac plus responses in corn to a nitrogen fixing bacteria. That's because the environment starved the plant of fertilizer for a time, but the plants inoculated with the nitrogen fixing bacteria were able to continue to access nitrogen through that period.
 
 I realize that there are some companies in the industry that will say something like "add out product into your fertility program and take (X) pounds of nitrogen fertilizer out of your fertility program". I don't think there is significant enough data to support the idea that every single year, in every single environment, you will always see the exact amount of nitrogen fixed and made available to the plant.
 
 For that reason, FBN doesn't make a claim like that.
