Farmer’s Business Network, Inc is excited to announce the addition of industry veteran and renowned entrepreneur Kathleen Ligocki to the company’s Board of Directors.

Ligocki, based in Michigan, until just recently served as CEO of Agility Fuel Solutions, the market leader in natural gas, propane, hydrogen and electric storage and delivery systems for commercial vehicles.  Previously, she has been CEO of both private and public companies including Harvest Power, Next Autoworks, GS Motors and Tower Automotive. Ligocki also served as a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers in addition to her executive experience at Ford Motor Company, United Technologies and General Motors.

Growing up in Wisconsin, Indiana, and Michigan, surrounded by farmers and those who work in agriculture, had a profound impact on Ligocki. She’s taken pride in helping companies like FBN bring disruption to the industry and she’s excited to advocate for farmers.

“I’ve watched FBN evolve from an idea to an incredibly successful tech company, one that holds the promise of even more growth,” says Ligocki. “I’m looking forward to bringing my experience as a serial entrepreneur and from my work with public and private companies – to help FBN best fulfill their mission to put Farmers First®.

“We’re excited to bring Kathleen’s wealth of experience to our board,” says Amol Deshpande, CEO and Co-Founder of FBN. “Kathleen is a visionary entrepreneur and her background will translate well to serving the ultimate entrepreneurs: farmers.”

Adding Ligocki to the board is the latest in a series of news announcements for FBN: this spring the company added former PotashCorp COO David Delaney as Chief Commercial Officer and a board member and built out its F2F Genetics Network™ team.

FBN now serves more than 32 million acres of farmland across the U.S. and Canada, an area nearly the size of the state of Pennsylvania. More than 8,300 farmers use FBN to become more profitable and fight back in a tough farm economy.

FBN is hiring a wide range of talent. If interested in joining FBN on its mission to put Farmers First®, please visit the FBN Careers.
