Anyone ran a Deere and Mac ********** heads to compare the two?

I would like to upgrade to a Draper head. Deere combine. Has anyone run both derere and Mac don to compare them?

I purchased a FD70 pretty well used and did some simple repairs and it’s fantastic. The farmer I purchased it from thought he was doing better buying a 635FD but said he would give me my money back today to get away from the nit picky complexity of the Deere. We farm on some steep terraces. Does a great job.

I demo’d a brand new JD two years ago and ended up going with a FD75 Macdon and I’ve been very happy. The Macdon is much more simple and has one electric sensor. My uncle runs a 630F side by side and he does an OK job but I love my Macdon. It seemed like a lot of $$$ at the time but it’s been good to me. I recommend the Macdon also.

Unless you have fore/aft tilt on your feederhouse the MacDon is the only way to go with the rocky hilltops we have. I run both FD70 and FD75 40 footers. Like the double drive sickle on the FD75

I am on very flat ground with ditching done to remove excess water.  Will the Macdon flex enough going through the ditches at an anlge?

We really like our MacDon FD75 was a couple years old when we bought it off a Case and now we run it on our Lexion 740

We ran a Deere first then we ran a macdon. We own two macdon now absolutely love them. They just came out with the FD2 series with more flex than before  we run Deere combines also

If you like repairing broken light metal parts and all kinds of bad electrical sensors run a Deere. If you like a durable head with minimum maintenance run a MacDon.
