does anyone have any experience with the wheelman autosteer system?

Have a friend that is small acerage but would like to have autosteer  but can't spend the high dollars for greenstar. { they run all john deere]

Happy new year to all !!! Hi & yes I purchased a wheelman flex last spring, had some issues with it couple times when updated software locked it up & they had to send me new unit !!! It cost me couple days of down time trying to figure out ! Have it working now & they've continued to update  . & add features waiting to up date again! Little afraid too with past experiences 😑? It's great when it's working talked with them at farmer to farmer they're addressing all the issues I have! With that being said looking to buy a pro for another tractor they tell me steering motor has more torque & not real fond of clamping of gear on steering wheel  with the flex? Also you can use smart phone but I use a Kendall fire going to spend more money for a tablet or something with bigger screen ! So to end on good note it's new I believe they'll get the bugs worked out! Like anything new & l mostly likely buying a second unit.

We purchase a Wheelman Flex HP last fall and put it on our Ford 876 tractor.  We had to purchase the Raven steering adapter and modify it to work with our Wheelman, but it was a nice upgrade to the tillage tractor.  We had some issues at first due to running the Whirl App on a IPad but were able to figure it out for the fall.

We purchased a second flex kit and installed it on our JD 7800 for planting.  Currently Wheelman is having issues with their HPX-200 antennas, which we are unable to get the HPX-10 subscription to work on the antenna to get the 1.5 inch accuracy.  If it is not working by planting, we will just run with WAAS that was pretty accurate last fall.

Just be aware, their tech support can be slow to respond.  When you call, it goes to a call center where they take a message and pass it the tech for them to call you back.  It has been hit or miss on the response time.

Overall we have been really pleased with the system and the price to add it to different equipment, you just have to have some patience when it doesn't work as advertised.

What modifications did you have to do to the raven kit to get this one to work.  If you had trouble with this one could you switch to a raven without changing the kit or are the modifications permanent.
