What are y’all running in front of y’all’s corn planters for first time ground and previously farmed ground?

Strip-till machine.

Previously farmed ground we run the field cultivator (Case IH Tigermate 200) in front of the planter. First time ground would depend on the what the ground is, but we’d probably disk it and then run a field cultivator over it to break the clods up.

It’s been awhile since we’ve had some first time ground but when we have had it we would disk it a couple times maybe even three times then run the Krause landstar across it . Current farmed ground ahead of we turbotill it all and sometimes even land star in front of the planter. It’s what works best for us . Kent County Delaware is where we’re at .
