This week we polled FBN members on the presence of Spider Mites. Presence appears significant throughout California and into parts of Oregon. Areas of the Western Plains show some reports but a bit more scattered than what we’d usually expect to see this time of year. Results are in the map below with orange representing the instances where FBN members have seen Spider Mites. As we progress through the late summer months we’ll want to continue to monitor for this pest, especially if things start to dry out.
Note: While this poll was focused in the Western Plains and West Coast regions, we’ll expect to see pressure throughout the Corn Belt and Mid-South as summer progresses.
If you’re looking for treatment options please connect with your local FBN Representative or Agronomist. You can also check out Suremite™ SC which is a group 10B insecticide containing the active ingredient Etoxazole, the same active ingredient as Zeal™ SC Miticide.
