Is status quo farming working for you?

I'm a young farmer that has started from nothing. Own 30 acres and rent over 700, Growing grain sorghum and soybeans on rotation. We're having trouble getting anything that's status quo to work for us. No matter the situation, we usually have to do something else to make it work. Any input?
