San Francisco, CA – September 29, 2026 – Farmers Business Network® (FBN), the leading digital farmer-to-farmer network and marketplace, is partnering with Google AI Futures Fund (AIFF) to bring advanced AI innovations to family farmers.
Together, Google AI Futures Fund will assist FBN in accelerating development of agriculture's first AI Context Engine for farmers. This AI Context Engine is designed to create the operating platform enabling a broad set of future agentic solutions for family farms.
Today most AI tools give farmers localized advice to specific aspects of their operation - but are not able to integrate operational, market, and environmental aspects holistically. The AI Context Engine will enable task specific agents to operate on an integrated, 360-degree understanding of their farm, with executable commercial actions on the FBN commercial platform. This enables farmers to get unprecedented insights on interdependent decisions encompassing a farm’s unique agronomic, financial, equipment, and operational attributes in the context of broader environmental and market conditions. FBN plans to roll out early versions for farmers this fall.
As part of the partnership, Google will provide FBN with early access to frontier models and expertise in model development. FBN will work closely with Google to evaluate advanced models against complex agricultural reasoning tasks. The collaboration aims to improve AI performance in real world applications in agriculture.
